From essays, to MBEs, performance testing, simulated exams, scheduled days off; Bobby personally manages all lessons and development. The curriculum is comprised of five sections: 1. Organizational Period Bobby works diligently with every student to organize their thoughts and comprehension of subjects tested on the bar exam. Organization is a major factor in a student’s success; it creates harmony between the vast amount of material and an individual’s thought process. During this time students develop proficiency in constructing outlines, flash cards and basic MBEs. 2. MBEs The second phase of the course concentrates primarily on the MBE portion of the exam. Students also continue to organize and systematize bar exam subjects. The practice MBEs measure how well the student retained information from the organizational process. After students organize a particular subject, then practice MBEs are taken. After each subject is cohesively arranged, students begin to formulate essays on that subject. The essay portion is made up of two parts: a. Outlining Becoming an articulate outline composer is crucial to passing the bar exam. Students must be able to coherently arrange their answers before writing a response. b. Writing Once the art of outlining is mastered, students are ready to write. During this phase of instruction it is imperative that students become essay connoisseurs. Students train how to give the graders what they need. 4. Performance Test The performance test is the most comprehensive assessment on the exam. This is the longest phase of the course since the performance test requires more extensive responses; we devote a longer period of time to practice. The performance section calls for longer more in-depth outlines since the responses are lengthier. This section of the exam does not involve any memorization; every essential piece of information will be provided to you. During this phase of the course you will be introduced to Bobby’s three-step method to perfecting the performance test. 5. Review Period During the final three weeks of the course students polish the skills they have been taught. They take 6 simulated full day practice exams, just as if they were taking the actual bar exam. Bobby has designed a method to assist students in the review process so that students do not become overwhelmed as the test day approaches. Students will complete the review phase of the course feeling knowledgeable and confident and prepared to tackle the bar like an open book exam! |
